~ International Professional Commercial and Runway Model~

~model mentor and coach~

My Backstory:

I "accidentally" became a model; it was never a part of the original plan. During college, I worked part time as a bridal consultant. I clearly was not the most talented at sales, and quickly got pulled from selling gowns to modeling dresses for the store. I became involved in the bridal and formalwear world, and was hooked with seeking out more modeling opportunities from there. I graduated from JMU with my BSN and moved to Washington, D.C. I started working as a nurse, but couldn't shake the feeling that modeling was what I really wanted to pursue. I worked full time as a Labor & Delivery RN at night in order to model full time during the day. I sought out every opportunity to shoot and build my portfolio from the ground up. I kept attending castings and slowly but surely began to expand my network. I found my niche in swimwear and fitness modeling, and haven’t looked back since.

My first year as a model, I worked hard to get my foot in the door with different genres of modeling. High fashion, printwork, beauty, lifestyle, music videos... you name it I shot it in order to get my name out there. I pushed my way into runway, and fell in LOVE with it. I sought out every opportunity possible to pursue it. I can't stress enough how many rejections I received trying enter the runway world as a petite model. I took every "no" as a chance to prove myself even more, and worked even harder to land castings alongside the industry-standard height runway girls. Within a year of starting runway, I found myself walking in Miami Swim Week, DC Fashion Week, and even New York Fashion Week. I've since walked at Milan and Paris Fashion Week, and have plans to keep checking off as many international shows as possible.

The beauty of the fashion industry lies in how ever-changing and dynamic it is. I'm passionate about pushing industry standards. Models should be judged on their walk and skill level— not solely their height. I'm passionate about helping other petite models find their confidence and learn how to out-walk their competition every single time. I’m a firm believer that persistence and a constant desire to improve is vital to become a successful model. Fake it till you make it! There is constantly opportunity to improve and push yourself harder. When not modeling myself, I work as a model coach and runway instructor.

I now travel frequently over the east coast for modeling. I spend the majority of my time between NY, DC, and Miami, but travel all over for bookings. I'm signed exclusively in NY, and have several other non-exclusive contracts with US-based agencies. Modeling has been an absolute dream come true for me in every way. I still wake up everyday with a sense of overwhelming gratitude that I'm able to pursue my dream; it still doesn't feel real.
